ITB provides access to building and/or monuments or natural heritage landscapes of cultural significance: Bosscha Observatorium andMenara Loji Park (Free)

Bosscha Observatorium preserved heritage observatorium which is still currently in use by Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences, ITB. Details for public visit is shown in the link https://bosscha.itb.ac.id/id/kunjungan/

Public access to libraries

ITB has central library that provide free-access and open for public and, also for students and staffs.

Public access to museums

Promote sustainable commuting

ITB promotes staff to use campus-provided shuttle bus for staff who lives in suburb of Bandung. ITB also provides shuttle service for transportation between campus. ITB provided 2 shuttle buses to carry students and staffs between Ganesha Campus and Jatinangor Campus. The average number of passenger of each shuttle is 72. Details for each vehicle is shown in the following table.

Affordable housing for employees

ITB provides 21 transit houses for employees who needs temporary affordable housing. This transit houses are prioritized for newly recruited staffs. The maximum duration of stay is 2 years. It is expected that during 2 years stay, the staffs have sufficient time for looking more permanent housing in Bandung.

ITB has 5 (five) dormitories for students. The total capacity is 2156 space for students.

Preparation of the Academic Manuscripts for the Draft of Bandung City Local Regulation Concerning Housing and Settlement Areas

This activity aimed to increase the housing and settlement provision’s capacity in Bandung City and ensure the availability of affordable housing. The academic manuscript and regulation draft prepared received inputs from various stakeholders, including the central government, local government, and development actors. Then, the draft went to a discussion with authorized actors for the legalization. This activity’s output was the Bandung City Local Regulation No. 13 of 2019 Concerning the Implementation of Housing, Residential Areas, and Slum Upgrading.
