ITB’s Program to Assist Students to Complete Their Studies

ITB offers a Zero Drop Out program that enables students who are economically and financially disadvantaged but have exceptional academic aptitude to complete their studies. Therefore, ITB has looked for scholarship opportunities through the Student Affairs Unit (Direktorat Kemahasiswaa) to fund their tuition expenses, particularly for those who can succeed academically but are economically deprived. The scholarship sources include funds from the national and local governments, ITB, public funds, and individual donations. Merit-based and need-based scholarships are the two main categories of ITB scholarships. ITB has lot of scholarship partners, one of them is Bidikmisi that is collaborated with the government to provide financial assistance for low-income students in Indonesia.

Regardless financial, ITB has also academic assistance for students. According to SK PAK No. 609/IT1.A/PER/2021. chapter 32 every student will be guided by a guardian lecturer. If a student is deemed to need financial assistance, the lecturer can recommend several financial assistance programs, either from within the institution (ITB) or outside the institution (eg: Salman Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, etc.) or a tuition fee reduction
